Explanatory videos of projects developed in the 2021 class of entrepreneurial thinking taught to all freshman engineering students at Stevens Institute of Technology are highlighted below. The overall objective of the course is to provide students with a new way of problem solving—entrepreneurial thinking – which is a process of finding a unique fit between a real-world problem and a new solution. The class began with students choosing a problem that they felt would be worthwhile to solve - something that really bothered them (ex: being able to secure rental property in Hoboken when you are an international student with no credit credentials, understanding the amount you owe and payment requirements on your educational loans when you graduate, etc.) At the conclusion of the course the students create an explainer video which tells of the story of the problem, a potential solution and why this solution is valuable. Please enjoy the videos and see the labors of the student’s hard work.
